BENCH CLOTHING started its global domination in 1989 as a 'tee-shirt ' brand,with designs influenced by skateboarding and bmx.

 A common feature of Bench clothing is the conspicuous incorporation of the brand name  many t-shirts and jackets feature the word 'Bench' written in highly visible letters either across the chest or across the back of the collar.

Bench expanded into women's wear in 1989 with a range of jackets based upon the same urban clothing style as the menswear.

Since then BENCH has grown from strength to strength and so has its popularity in the media with its sponsorship of the music driven Warehouse Project in its home town as well as it s more recognizable celebrity partnerships with Fun Loving Criminals and Robbie Williams. It has been voted coolest street brand 2007/08 by  'Coolestbrand Panel'.
